Hi, I’m Kira DeDecker (“key-ra dee-decker”) and I’m a pet photographer serving Arizona’s greater Phoenix Metro area. Welcome to my blog! This is where I share not only my most recent work but also my life with you. Client sneak peeks, Facebook recaps, announcements, updates, awesome new offerings and the occasional (okay, frequent) story about my crazy but amazing life with my three dogs – Sox, Bixby and Waffles.
Pull up a chair and make sure it’s nice and comfy because you will want to stay awhile. It’s great to have you here!
It’s been freakishly busy around here, between the holiday rush, my computer dying, getting a new computer and everything else so this a threefer Facebook recap from my Kira DeDecker Photography page (go there, like it, I post photos of adorable dogs) to cover August, October and November.
So let’s dig in!
Troublemakers. Caught them red handed chewing on my fencing.
Fire in my heart.
We have had a very intense monsoon season this year. My backyard is currently a forest of overgrown grass and weeds. As soon as we chop it down, a huge downfall of rain comes and it regrows (and it doesn’t help that Pomeranians are basically little bees, and their fur spreads seeds EVERYWHERE they go). So until I have a chance to tame the yard again, I’m going to use the overgrown greenery to my advantage.
Success tastes like salmon.
Guess who celebrated another adopt-a-versary?
I’ll give you a hint. He loves belly rubs, fetch and his obsessed with his toy Hippie.
My very own pompom garden.
I should point out, that I got to pet Mobus.
And not just that, I also got to pet his brother and sister too. Check out their session!
(Yeah, life isn’t fair.)
(Guess who just learned how to take a screen shot on a mac? Oh yeah, I’m using a new computer.)
A little closer…
And this beautiful girl is Tipper
Berkley, a very special soul is fighting osteosarcoma. We had a last minute Love session last weekend to celebrate his life.
Three years ago, on the same November weekend, we lost Peetie to her illness.
You love them. Embrace it. Life is so much sweeter when you get to share it with the ones you love.
Because there will be a day when you won’t be woken by their slobbery wet kisses and excited paws. Your house will be quiet and you won’t be greeted by their barks. You’ll have more money in your back account but fewer dirty paw prints on the floor. Our lives pass so quickly and moments like this make up the most of it. I want you to remember these things with photos so you can have evidence of the gorgeous happy messy love that it is.
It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve posted a personal photo.
A B&A of Bailey.
