“During Kitsune's session, Kira was patient to allow Kitsune time to adjust to a new environment and getting used to the idea of sitting and waiting while pictures were being taken. The session was a relaxed and enjoyable experience and I love showing off the beautiful photos. Thank you Kira!”
Hi, nice to met you! I’m Kira DeDecker (“key-ra dee-decker“) and I’m a pet photographer based in Glendale, Arizona.
I am a huge animal lover and their love is mutual. My backyard is affectionately called the “dog park” because all my neighbors’ pups can’t help but come over… even if it means destroying the fence to do it. If I see an lost pets stranded out on the streets I will boost from a moving vehicle to go help it. Hell, I’ve been known to bring home lost dogs until I can find their homes. I also can’t help fawning over any and all pets that I come into contact with.
I’m head over heels in love with my three dogs, Sox, Bixby and Waffles. Without them my floors would be cleaner, my bank account would be fuller and I could sleep past eight but I would also be missing half of my heart.
I work alongside with my best friend and husband, Tim. We first met when I was in the eighth grade and he come out of nowhere and told that his family bought the house behind me. I was creeped out and wouldn’t talk to him. That all changed when we had a class together my junior year in high school. We’ve been together ever since then.
Actually, I first met my husband when I was in grade school and my mom took me to a garage sale of the women who lived behind us. That woman was Tim’s grandmother, and he was over that day visiting in his Boy Scout uniform when we were in the fourth grade. Don’t tell him I told you that part.
That’s me in a tiny little nutshell… excluding my dog petting addiction.
