Fall in hard month for me, especially November when I’m reminded of the loss of my girl Peetie. Tim took two weeks off that month and since I haven’t taken a single vacation since our honeymoon, my husband spirited me and the dogs up to his parent’s cabin up in the wood of Show Low. The dogs had a blast running around my in-laws property (Sox less so since he had to be kept on a long lead when he was outdoors since his recall is terrible) and when they weren’t digging and exploring the terrain they were inside, sleeping on every couch and bed they could find. It was a lazy, do-nothing vacation – just what we all needed.
