Photo on the left was taken for last years Christmas card. Photo on the right was taken last month for my bio. Notice a theme in these photos? No, I am not talking about my hat – although the hat is really cool and distracts from my ridiculously long hair – the similarity I’m talking about is my affectionate fuzzy baby boy, Sox.

Don’t get wrong all my dogs are huge lovers, but none more so than Sox. When we first adopted him he would jump and lick you all over and it drove me insane (having your legs, chest and arms covered in spit is icky, okay). I spent the first few weeks with him training and redirecting that behavior so he would only kiss you on the lips. If you are ever sitting or laying down all three of the poms will be on you giving you some sweet loving action, Sox takes this concept to a whole new level. For example, in the middle of the night he will come and sit on you while you are sleeping and just make out with your face. So when the above photos were taking Sox just reaches over and starts spontaneously puckering up to me.

The spontaneous kiss is definitely Sox’s signature look.
